Content is King

He who owns the content is king of the hill. Today’s transparent lifestyle, as presented in the form of Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter, and any other favorite social media has changed the value of content exponentially.

Would you rather have your message in the form of a commercial or included in the discussion of the television and/or radio program, or website, or event, etc.? People are paying more attention to what people are saying than what is pre-recorded in the form of a canned commercial.

If you stop and analyze what I am saying, by paying closer attention to all media, you will quickly see what I am saying. More than ever, products and services are being incorporated in to the programming, into the web page and into the editorial of published media. It isn’t too long ago that the hint of this happening would have editors and news people putting up a wall.

That integrity has disappeared, because of the almighty dollar. Substantial revenue is generated throughout the transparent appearance of products and services. It will only grow before it softens. Consumers don’t seem to mind, and companies are seeing deeper return on their investment.

What are your challenges when it comes to including your products or services inside content? I look forward to hearing your comments. Until next time…
