Each Little Step is One Step Closer to the Sale; and They All Count!
The process by which a sale is made is one of several steps. Each one is as important as the next. Skipping steps can close the process down, so you should always try to stay on course.
Depending on the product or service you are selling, you may have more or less steps in the process. If there’s a long run way before the sale, you need to be mentally capable of having a good attitude and perseverance all the way to the sale. Since the process overlaps from one prospective sale to the next, this means a good attitude is needed at all times.
The best way to stay positive when not making the actual sale is to feel good about the small steps you take during the process. Possibly just getting a contact on the phone can be that first major break-through. Maybe setting up that first appointment, or having the prospect ask for a proposal? Even consideration for your proposal and a first turn down can actually be a step in the right direction.
Once a sale is made, the process starts over again for that client in trying to have them invest in your product or service a second time. Repeat the same steps it took to have them agree to terms the first time. Stay on course and continue to be persistent. ever you do, do not give up, don’t ever give up!
What are your challenges when it comes to staying the course? I look forward to hearing your comments. Until next time...
