Master salespeople never give up…They never give up!

The longer you've been in sales, the more you will understand that the time you put in will deliver orders in the end. The hardest part is to not give up before the order comes.

For me, the best way to calm the stress during the waiting period is to keep feeding the pipeline of prospects. The more I put into the pipeline means the closer I am to having orders come out the other end. Sorry for being so graphic, but it is so true!

Each prospect takes longer or shorter amounts of time to make a decision on your product or service. That’s where you become a master salesperson. Understanding what you should or should not do to move the sale forward. It’s a great idea to also have a second opinion on what you have done with an account during the sales cycle. This extra pair of eyes and ears can be the glue that keeps your sales on track moving toward your goals.

In the end, it never fails that sticking with it as long as you can helps you win. There are multiple ways to approach an account and most sales people never get past the first one or two. Giving up is the easier solution but will not make you money. After all, isn't that why you are in sales to begin with?

What are your challenges when it comes to event marketing? I look forward to hearing your comments. Until next time…
